CREATE A SIMPLE FOOTBALL RECRUITING PROFILE

Here is the truth about what information college coaches want in a potential prospects football recruiting profile.

They want it SIMPLE, SPECIFIC, & USER FRIENDLY.

When a college coach gets your profile, it should very quickly answer a couple of questions.

  • Who is this? (Name, Position, School, City, State)
  • Can they get in academically? (GPA & Test Scores)
  • Do they have the desired measureables? (Height / Weight / Speed)
  • Are they a consistent top-notch performer on the field? (Quality Highlight film)
  • How do I contact them? (Email, Cell Number & Home Address)

Rules to Follow

  • Make sure your information is accurate- nothing will frustrate a college coach more than a player who "fudges" his numbers. They are going to find out the truth anyway.
  • When you state your 40 time (follow rule #1), it's always best to provide a time from a third party like a camp or combine you attended. You should also state where the 40 was run. (example: 4.6 @ Get Recruited PA Showcase – it makes the time more valid.)
  • Embedded video is always better than a link. Why? It's easier for the coach to watch.
  • A picture really helps. When choosing a picture choose wisely. Remember…… "A picture is worth a thousand words".

SUPER IMPORTANT! A list of your awards and stats will have little or no impact on the coach's initial evaluation. Remember the college coach is first evaluating if you academically qualify and second, if you have what it takes to play on their team.
